Franklin County Court Dockets Defined

A docket is the court calendar and event record for a case. In Franklin County, docket information can show the county, court division, hearing date, courtroom, subdivision, hearing type, and case-related activity. How to Find Franklin County Dockets

Courtroom and subdivision can stay at ALL unless a notice, attorney, or clerk gives a narrower setting.

The docket system is best for finding court dates. It is not the same as KYeCourts Public Court Records, which is used for broader public case lookup after guest verification. It is also not the same as ePay, which is linked from the KYeCourts guest page for fees, fines, and costs. A person who needs a certified docket sheet or a filed order should contact the Franklin County Circuit Court Clerk.

1. Open the KCOJ docket portal and choose Franklin County from the county dropdown.
2. Select Circuit or District based on the case notice, charge level, or record type.
3. Choose the date to check, leaving Courtroom and Subdivision as ALL unless a notice gives more detail.
4. Submit the search and compare the result to any paper notice, attorney message, or clerk instruction.
5. Call the Circuit Court Clerk if the online docket is missing, unclear, or different from a case notice.

Read a Franklin County docket in context. A hearing label is not always a final outcome. The KCOJ docket disclaimer is important. The portal states that information cannot be used for employment, licensing, or eligibility for government programs.
